The stories cited in the title of this book are the tips that a priestess bestowed a King, on the banks of the Grand Old River, and each story has a language of tradition, myths and fables, and is embellished with a corollary (an introduction and a conclusion of the priestess and a reflection of the king). But beyond the mere narrative structure, although very charming and cared for, the most striking thing is that Sauro Tronconi, with his latest book, has created a fascinating hybrid: alternating pictures almost minimalist wonderful workmanship and rich history of symbols, has outlined a path of discovery of the reality that speaks directly to the heart and mind. "Tales of the Great River" is a book to read in one breath and then take your time, reading a story at a time to wait then decant into us, which becomes part of our reality.
