Non è mai facile parlare di amore: sebbene tutti viviamo questo sentimento, in una forma o in un altra, e ne siamo quindi testimoni, quando poi si cerca di descriverlo e di metterlo su carta, si cade spesso nel già sentito o nel banale. Quando Giovanna Capucci ha incominciato a scrivere questo intenso romanzo sicuramente aveva ben chiaro i pericoli a cui stava andando incontro nel dare vita ad un amore assoluto e dai risvolti tragici come quello fra i suoi due protagonisti Nicola e Cristina.
