The Goddess Rising

Part one of two

For several years I have been reborn of the Goddess culture understood as a way of being , a state of mind and heart, that comes from a rediscovery of the inner feminine qualities of the divine within and around you. Whatever the name that past cultures have left us, these qualities bring us back to a deep contact with nature, with the source of life, with its root-Mother is the consciousness that pervades every atom of this beautiful planet. The Goddess the landscape. And the landscape is not merely a physical manifestation, but consists of subtle planes, invisible to our normal five senses: it is embodied consciousness, the body of the Goddess, which is expressed and is also manifested in a spiritual and emotional level.
It is therefore possible not only to see the sights such as physical and aesthetic expression (such as "landscape"), but to hear, understand, enjoy its intimate quality.

This personal journey has led me to meet the artist and therapist of the Earth, Slovenian Marko Pogacnik, who uses methods "geomantic", where art, combined with a deep soul searching and freedom of the heart, becomes imaginative creative force, able to communicate with the "subtle worlds," to cooperate actively in the care and regeneration of sites important to the health of the planet. I had the opportunity to follow his traveling seminar, which took place in Venice in the last four years (organized and curated by Maurizio Martinelli), dedicated to the energy balance of the fabric of this city and the "revival of its original quality "as a contribution to peace on Earth.
And it was returning from one of these seminars, the "conscience of the trip," lived as a pilgrimage to himself, I was inspired by intuition: he told me of a city sacred, founded as a temple dedicated to the Goddess: Ancient Medhelanon.

A place "in the middle"

Di Milano has always fascinated me the roundness, the unfolding of concentric circles, junctions for ever larger, making it a dynamic, constantly searching for a balance between its centrifugal forces of expansion and its voltage interiority, which is expressed in a centripetal movement toward a center.
Milan has a center, which seems to expand by a further series of concentric circles, as if the plant of the city followed the evolution of a cromelech, an ancient stone circle, which made this place a sacred center, a "navel of the world" (an omphalos), a special place where heaven meets in the land and the land stretches towards the sky in a constant respiratory motion, which makes it the motor energy body of the Po Valley, situated as it is, the geometric center of the semicircle of the Alps.
The very origin of its name is itself evidence of its sacredness. Apparently derives from the Celtic Medhelan, which indicates a sanctuary or place of perfection "in the middle," which was later Latinized into Medhelanon, then Milan and finally Mediolanum.
As far may be its history and how they can have been obscured over time traces of its original nature, Milano unfolds his true heart to be careful of those who want to listen.

Bonvesin of Riva, the late thirteenth century, De Magnalibus Mediolani (The Wonders of Milan) extolled the praises, which saw already manifest in the Latin name Mediolanum: - the central vowel "o" is the most beautiful and worthy , which, with its circular shape evokes the curves and roundness of the city is a symbol of perfection, the presence of five vowels demonstrates the completeness -. Continue
Bonvesin: - considered in relation to its location, our flourishing city is famous because situated in a beautiful, rich and fertile plain, where the climate is temperate, is full of all that is necessary for human life, placed as it is equidistant between two rivers, the Ticino and the Adda. It is so rich in water [...] living waters natural, excellent drink, healthy and so abundant in all seasons and in every home, just decent, there is a water source in-viv
seems like the description of un'Eden undeniable and may be the name of Milan as a city of water, like Venice. Water springs, the inner one, immersed in the element water, the other ...

Quality yin and yang in the landscape della città

Possiamo quindi immaginare Milano nascere in un paesaggio dalle qualità female yin, fruitful and fertile, rich in those waters that represent our unconscious, our emotions, our own cellular memory (by its nature, the water picks up and delivers information.) A place where the presence of the Mother Goddess had to be tangible, without roughness or dryness, in perfect harmony with the pulse of quality men's yang.
balance given by the intersection of two strong currents yang, which originates from Mount Resegone and Chain Monte Rosa, meet exactly at ninety degrees where it is now the Piazza della Scala, imbuing the space of the sacred alchemy that occurs when the two meet in the primal forces of the Universe dance of creation. A place where we said, goes to Heaven to the Earth.

Fluidity denied

The work of man, when he acts unknowingly, off from communion with nature, but can create imbalances. This is what happened here, with the subsequent closing of canals, wells of various sorghum and almost all the sacred sources, causing a "yanghizzazione", ie an excess of male qualities of space energy of this place. All this has an impact on the quality of life for inhabitants of Milan. The hard work becomes hectic and frenzied search for profit's sake, beauty becomes vanity, fashion and makes clothes for a woman more masculine to gratify the male imagery. Everything becomes a commodity and profit, everything is quantized, measured, organized, isolated, obviously calculated. Feelings, intuition, generosity, are relegated to the realm of "weakness" and the useless, to the detriment of creative collaboration.
common fate has befallen Venice, which has been the burial of the still forced many of its channels to the mainland, building bridges "land" on the Canal Grande (Rialto and initially there was only the gondolas were used for ferrying ). All these works led to the resulting imbalance the harmonic qualities of its sacred landscape.
